news on what's happening in the racing scene.
Hobie sailing has been a Way of Life in Western
Australia since the early 70's. With regular winds and plenty of sunshine,
it is no wonder sailing is a popular past time. There is no better way to
enjoy it than on a catamaran.
Hobie Cat manufactures an extensive range of catamarans
and watercraft to suit all sailors. From the ever popular Hobie 16 to the
new Bravo and up to the Formula class Hobie Tiger. The boats are designed
to be durable, low maintenance and a lot of fun. With the availability of
new and used boats, there is a Hobie for every budget.
Racing sailors choose the
Hobie range because of its strict class rules, international status, stiff
competition and major regattas held in exotic destinations.
The Hobie 16 is the official catamaran for the ISAF
World Youth Championships. Hobie sailors are as colourful as the
boats they own and adore.

Hobie West is a local business in Perth. It is run by
passionate sailors who are actively racing Hobie Cats.
Cam
Sailing catamarans since 1984, current WA state
champion, won the 2007 Hobie 16
National Champion, 3rd 2007 Hobie 16 Worlds in Fiji, also won Nationals and State
Championships in various other classes including Paper Tigers, A Class and Nacra.
Competed at international level for past fifteen years. Offers advice on
making cats go fast and wealth of knowledge on sailing strategy.
Darren
Sailing
catamarans since before he was born. Active member of the Hobie Cat
Association of Western Australia. Regularly competes in National and World
Championships. National Champion in 2001& 2006, State Champion in 2003
-2007
Australian qualifier for 2004 and 2007 Worlds. Just goes plain fast.
